01Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Carbud Ltd ("Carbud", "we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using our website (carbud.xyz), mobile application, or any of our automotive services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue using our services.
02Doorstep Mechanic Services
Carbud operates a network of vetted independent automotive technicians who provide mobile vehicle maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs at your chosen location:
- Technician Vetting: All technicians undergo national identity checks, criminal background verification, and practical skills assessments prior to being onboarded.
- 30-Day Workmanship Warranty: All technician services booked and paid through the Carbud platform are backed by our 30-day workmanship warranty. If a defect arising from the technician's workmanship occurs within 30 calendar days, Carbud will dispatch a senior technician to re-inspect and remedy the issue at no extra cost.
- User Responsibilities: You must ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe, legal environment permitting maintenance work, and you must disclose known mechanical faults or safety hazards.
03Vehicle Document Renewals & Logistics
Carbud Ltd is a private technology and logistics firm that facilitates vehicle document renewal requests on behalf of car owners across Nigeria:
- Document Renewal Service: We facilitate renewal submissions for vehicle licences, roadworthiness certificates, and auto insurance on your behalf, eliminating the need to physically queue or handle administrative paperwork.
- Authenticity & Accuracy: You warrant that all vehicle information, existing licences, and identification uploaded are accurate, legitimate, and that you are the lawful owner or authorized custodian of the vehicle.
- Processing & Delivery: Digital confirmation is issued upon completion. Physical vehicle licences, roadworthiness certificates, and insurance documents are couriered directly to your registered doorstep address.
04Car Accessories & Essentials Marketplace
Our marketplace provides access to quality automotive accessories, maintenance gear, and emergency essentials:
- Quality Guarantee: Listed accessories and gear are sourced from accredited distributors and manufacturers. Counterfeit or defective items are strictly barred.
- Vehicle Compatibility: Items matched to your specific car make, model, and year carry our compatibility guarantee. If an item confirmed as compatible does not fit, it qualifies for a free replacement or return.
- Delivery & Returns: Standard delivery takes 1 to 3 business days nationwide. Unopened items in original packaging may be returned within 7 days of receipt.
05BudAI Automotive Assistant
BudAI is an artificial intelligence diagnostic assistant trained on Nigerian driving conditions, vehicle makes, and repair pricing:
- Informational Use: BudAI provides diagnostic estimates, symptom guidance, and maintenance recommendations based on user descriptions. It serves as an advisory tool and does not substitute for a physical in-person mechanical inspection.
- Safety Decisions: Users are advised to exercise caution and consult a certified technician before driving a vehicle showing severe mechanical or safety warnings.
06Payments, Fees & Refunds
All payments on Carbud are processed in Nigerian Naira (NGN) via licensed, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways:
- Service Fees: Upfront pricing is displayed before booking a mechanic or confirming a document renewal. No hidden charges.
- Cancellations: Mechanic appointments may be cancelled free of charge up to 1 hour before the scheduled arrival time. Document processing fees are non-refundable once statutory processing with government registries has commenced.
- In-App Wallet: Wallet balances are secure and can be utilized across all Carbud services.
07Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Carbud Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from unauthorized account access, pre-existing unaddressed vehicle defects, or road hazards beyond the reasonable scope of the agreed services.
08Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall first be resolved through good-faith mediation, failing which the courts located in Lagos State, Nigeria shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
